Default Hi from Akron Ohio

Hi from Akron Ohio

I'm riding a month old '10 Ultra Limited - my first experience on a Harley.
Rode Honda Goldwings for 7 years and decided to see what life on the other
side of the fence was like. The grass is definitely greener here :-)

Been perusing the various magazines out there - and AI is one of the few I have
actually bought multiple copies of at the newsstand.

Came to the site to subscribe - and found this forum ;-)

Jim

Welcome to the American Iron Harley forum and nice to meet you. A lot of folks really love their Honda Gold Wings, and I am always curious what makes one style of motorcycle popular over another.

Having ridden a few Gold Wings and many Harleys I have found I much prefer the character of the Harley.

Thanks for supporting American Iron Magazine, we have a great editorial team and some of the world's greatest readers.

I was born in Canton, OH but lived in Denver my whole life. Like you I owned other than Harley. My last bike was a Valkyrie Tourer. Alas, do to fiscal constraints it went to a new home. In a way that was good because if I still had it I would not be a Harley owner or be on this great forum. I was out of riding for about 5 years before picking up my very used FLHTC. I am slowly gaining my confidence back. My Valk handled like it was on rails. The "paint shaker" (as my daughter calls it) sorta lumbers around.

Glad to see you here. The people on here are great. You'll see.

Kempo
