I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but here goes. I was on another forum and they were talking about "Bagger" magazine. I had never heard of it and they had found it in Wal-Mart - I don't go to Wal-Mart here unless I totally packing my gun - so I guessed it would be a magazine I could do without. I was in the grocery store the other day - looking for a new James Patterson paperback to read at lunch when I spotted the magazine. Needless to say - I bought the magazine - I thought it was pretty good - so I am going to subscribe for a while. Anyone else seen this mag?
It's the ride!
Go Cowboys!

saw one yesterday, hot rod baggers or something. I think it was by hot bike mag. Didn't look at it. i only look at the horse bsc when I go to the store.
It's a new magazine, Texan, published by Hot Bike. I was a subscriber to one of their other mags which folded, so they started sending me Baggers. It's OK but it's doesn't come close to being the mag that AIM is.
well I am going to subscribe for a while - I just don't look at magazine racks that often and then I would have to remember to - much easier going to the mail box....

There are two magazines on the market right now with Bagger in their name. I have read them both and don't find them to offer much other than the name.
American Bagger is published by the guy who used to be the publisher of Hot Bike and left. Pretty weak looking product that probably won't be in business long.
The other is called Hot Bike Baggers. Before that is was called BikeWorks, before that it was called Hot Rod Bikes, before that it was called Hot Rod Harleys. Some decent feature bikes, almost not tech. Published by Hot Bike.
We are adding more bagger features and tech to American Iron Magazine and will be publishing the next American Iron Customs (on sale only on newsstands the first week of March) with heavy emphasis on baggers.

Baggers are a hot market right now and these folks are cashing in. I've read both mags mentioned. I've seen some value in them, mostly in terms of their installations of suspension stabilizers on the FL platform bikes, and talk of a test of a larger oil pan newly offered from Baker. Hot Bike Baggers is moving towards the metric market, while American Bagger is Harleys only, which I prefer anyway. Buck Lovell is editing American Bagger. He's been, at the very least, very entertaining for many years. He gives me a grin. But I don't see subscribing to either and certainly not for 15 years like I have American Iron. Thanks for a great magazine, Buzz, and thanks for keeping it vital.
The 1 magazine I have subscribed to for the last 9 years is Motorcycle Consumer News - best buy for the money. It is expensive - I think like $42.00 per year but it has no advertising - great reviews on all types of bikes - great articles - good tech section.....
just my two cents...
