Default I hate winter projects.

Well it rained weekend before last and this was my indoor project for those two days.

New floor in the living room.

That's my college son and all three cats helping me out.

Good pics Tbone. Your son is making sure all the grooves and spaces are lined up and equal. You wear that footwear when you are riding?

Looks good. I would take the furniture back out and park the sled right in the middle of the room with a few high hats pointing at it. Who needs a livingroom anyway.

Good job there, T-Bone. I did our kitchen floor, not too bad once you get to going.

Hey T-Bone,
Nice looking floor, I'm glad to see that my kids aren't the only ones that help out like that! At least your winter is short lived down there in New Iberia.

Floors look great T-Bone. That stuff is brutal on saw blades isn't it? Didn't you mean to run the grain the length of the room

I actually laid it out both ways (not completely, but partially) before I put it down. For some reason, I liked the short run better. I don't know why. Since I had never done this before I wasn't aware of any protocol for running the grain. I'm damn sure not going to take it up. I plan to run the bedroom I'm doing next in the same direction. It's basically square and probably will look good.

Yes, I bought a cheap multipurpose blade for my circular saw and it dulled it pretty fast. Good thing I wasn't using an expensive table saw blade.

He was making sure the wife didn't burn the ribs and brisket on the pit.
I would only wear that footwear if there was a fire.

He's a good kid, though. I didn't really expect him to help. My wife wouldn't let me send this picture to her father because it gives the impression that my son never helps me with anything. Actually there wasn't much he could have done anyway. I'm too picky.

Just bustin' your chops! When I did my living room and hallways, it was 6 of one, half of the other. It looked good one way from in the kitchen, looked better from the hallway in from the front door. I ain't changing mine either
