Default What a way to start a Friday...

Last night I rode the bike to a dart tournament, and got home (back to the barracks) at a relatively late hour. Well always wanting to wait for the bike to cool down before throwing the cover on it, no rain insight and no threat of dew I decided the bike would be ok over night with out the cover on it. This morning I head down down stairs a little early to wipe any dust off of it and put the cover on before heading to work. As I start to eye it over before getting the rag out of my truck, I notice some A$$holes (yes with a capital A) foot print from their running shoes on the front fender of my bike. Like they had to use my front fender as stool for their #%&*ing foot to bend over and tie their damn shoe. ON MY FREAKIN' BIKE This SOB obviously has a death wish and better be counting his lucky stars that I didn't catch him. I have been steaming at the ears all day today and am still madder than a wet hen.

Some people have no damn respect. We all work very hard for what we have and yet there are these types of people out there that want to violate your property and personal space. Where I live we all work together, I put the word out that I was hunting for this b@$t@&d and anyone that knew who it was to send him my way....regardless of rank, because all rank aside we were going to talk like men...toe to toe! Damn I'm still pi$$ed off.

I guess since it's Friday and 74* outside it's time to go for a ride and have a cold beverage...of choice

Thanks for listening to my rant and yet it didn't even do me any good except for make me even more mad

I agree, that was disrespect of your hard earned ride, respect seems to be a rare commodity these days.

Wow, i hope there are no permanant damage marks on the fender. But some people are amazing at thier low level of common, decent respect for other people's property. Glad you can hop on the bike and go cool down...

Shovel- You're absolutely correct, respect is a rare commodity these days. It still exists, but only by those of us who were raised on it.

The number 1 rule we teach our kids is, "if it's not yours, don't touch it"

Uncle- I haven't had a chance to wash it, but it dang sure won't come with a dry microfiber towel.

Upon further investigation not only did they tie one shoe on there, but both. You can see the ball of the left and right shoe on there. Looks like my "tracking" training that I got from the US Border Patrol is paying off that I never used.

UN,

U sure it happened at base and not out playing darts? Anyone on base an early morning runner? Take a pic of the tread pattern...you never know. That is if you really wanna track down this jacka$$. I remember when I bought my Sturgis in 91 brand new. Looked out the window of the bar I was in and saw 3 clowns by my bike, one sitting on it. I calmly approached them and explained to him the perils of sitting on anothers bike without permission. He made the mistake of being a tough guy in front of his two friends and mouthing off. Well, one second later after he picked himself up off the floor he apologized. Some people just dont get it. To me, its the same as opening someones car and hopping in to check it out. You wont see me doing that. I hope you catch the jerk and then maybe you can tie your shoes on his neck. This day and age people are far more arrogant then ever. Especially where I live. Happy hunting. BOtz

Botz- I'm about 99.9% sure that it happened on base. The bar I was playing at is a very bike friendly bar and even when they have bike night you don't see anyone standing around the bikes. That doesn't mean there isn't one in the crowd, but where I park my bike and truck, there is a jogging path about 25-30 ft behind me (I know need to move the truck and bike), being that there's a lot of young sailors around here and they do have morning PT out here I could see one of them assclowns doing it.

It's funny you say to take a picture, my wife told me to do the same thing. Since I've been told twice now I guess I need to go take a picture.

I was born and raised around bikes and learned from a very young age it's ok to look but don't touch. To this very day and even if it is a really, really good buddy I won't sit on/touch his bike without asking or unless they ask for help with something. It seems to just be kind of a common "man" law, but maybe for only those of us who ride :shrugz:

I'd say it was someone who knew you........Even people who don't ride, wouldn't do that.Sounds like some punk who is envious of your freedom of the wind and then dis-ed you in return, ofcourse when you weren't looking.
