Default Sunny day in the Northeast

I couldn't take working on the 73 Sporty basket case for even one more minute,so down comes the Ironhead & up goes my bike for a much needed service & detailing.Fresh fluids, lubed cables, aired up tires & shiny paint & chrome that sparkled like diamonds in the spring sunlight, what more could ya ask for? Thumbed the starter motor & 95 inches of fire breathing V-twin awoke from her winters hibernation & settled into a lumpy idle.Popped Creed into the MP3 player & hit the road for a well deserved cobweb clearing, still have to be careful of salt & sand in some of the corners, but otherwise it was a perfect ride.MAN I LOVE SPRING!!!!!

Other than what you put in the 8 track player it sounds like a good day, Ace. Still snow and ice on the roads here, no riding for 2 weeks at the soonest, but more like a month. This is no way to spend one's twilight years.

Should I ?? Well uh, ok, I'll go ahead and say it. it's 78* and sunny here.......(inland about 40 miles)
Gotta ride up the coast north of the Golden GAte BRidge planned for tomorrow. Who knows how far we get before heading back home.

Glad you get to go out and enjoy the weather there, Ace. Anyone that works hard like you do all week deserves it.

I feel for ya,tommyglide,it's been a nasty winter.Yesterday was just a tease as it's now raining & cold again (must be the Sportster gods getting even with me for abandoning one of their own to go riding)

Jeeze Ace, it was a Saturday afternoon, surely those Sporster gods could cut a guy a little slack, couldn't they?

I was out for the first time here in upstate NY. It was about 70. Put on about 130 miles. Like ace said, cold and rain today and for about 3 more days. Teased...........yes.

Ahh,my friend, you obviously have no idea how vengeful the Sportster gods are! How else would you explain that every time I straighten something out on this particular jewel I find something else in dire need of attention?

Well Ace, if you shook and vibrated like that little Sporty has since 1973, you also might have some stuff in dire need of attention. I know I would. hehe
