Default Why I voted Democrat

stolen from another site:

Why I voted Democrat

I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever
I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a
gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of
gas at 15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job
of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is
offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad
guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good
people.

I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I
know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers
and thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it
will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away
in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of
millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed
to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the
rest away to the government for redistribution as IT sees fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The
Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never
get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because I believe a person's freedom to be lazy and
cared for is more important than a person's freedom to work and prosper.

I voted Democrat because I consider myself an intellectual who
understands that "..shall not be infringed." has multiple interpretations
which depend on the setting.

I voted Democrat because I believe digging is the best way to get out of
a hole like spending is the best way to get out of a recession.

I voted Democrat because, well, I'm not completely sure, but Obama is
such a smooth talking, sexy guy. So inspiring.

I voted Democrat because the media says it's all Bush's fault so it must
be. Change! Change! We can do it!

I voted Democrat because the principles that made this nation the
greatest in history are flawed and must be "fundamentally changed" for the
greater good. Government is better than private. A guarantee is better
than ambition.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it
is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

"A Liberal is a person who will give away everything they don't own."

Things are looking worse every day, I'm sure the Obama lovers think it's all real swell. None of them are open to listening to reason, their attitude is as one of my college professors used to put it, "My mind's made up, don't confuse me with the facts."
As hard as it is to stay cool I know God is still in control, I've read the end of the book (Bible) and HEY, we win!

It would be even more funny if it weren't so damn true. But still worth a laugh.

Obama voters/Democraps are what Lennon used to call "useful idiots" and it appears he was correct.

I think calling them useful is a stretch. But you defintely got the "idiots" part right.

I just shared this one with my shipmates. They loved it.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

That pretty much sums it up. When I talk to people around my age (in our 20's) aka the MTV generation who voted for Obama they can never tell me exactly why they did. Then tell them about the stupid stuff they are doing like spending 2.6 mil on teaching chinese prostitutes to moderate drinking on the job and they just have nothing to say other than well Bush was an idiot and a war monger.

Who's ready to move to the moon? I am

I'm not one for political debates, I'm more of a wait and see type. However the most common theme I heard during the election was more of voting "against" the other guy and/or party. It's actually a common theme when a party holds 2 or more consecutive terms. Take it for what it's worth.

Yo,TP/others
No offense intended or directed at anyone on particular here...but speaking/writing in general terms IMCO the bottom line IS that it's the complacent "silent majority" with the "just wait & see" attitude that are to blame for ALL the crap that DOES happen while the "active minorities" are out there "stealing our lunches"...bite by bite...a little (?) at a time.

Meanwhile some "Trust in God" to set & keep things straight...while IMCO the TRUTH is that he ONLY helps them that help themselves NOT those who "just wait & see" etc...end of sermon.

Quite right, it was never meant for Christian people to sit on the sidelines to "wait and see, but to fight against evil, expose the lies, and be champions of the truth.
Even if things don't improve on our time table the evildoers will be dealt with by God in due time.
