Baton Rouge H-D I almost forgot to throw this out there. If you are ever in the neighborhood be sure and swing by Baton Rouge Harley Davidson. They have to be some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered in a dealership. Here's the story and why I tell you this:
It was the Sunday New Orleans bike week ended; my buddies and I crashed at another buddies house that lives about 15 miles from Baton Rouge. Instead of cruising back to New Orleans for the final day festivities we decided to ride into Baton Rouge, eat some breakfast and check out the dealer. We pull out around 10, ride into Baton Rouge, swing into waffle house and get some chow, off to the dealer we go. With it being Sunday the dealer didn't open until noon and we were there around 11:30. We parked the scoots and all call our moms with it being mother's day.
It's around 11:45 or so and this sweet scoot pulls up, he parks up next to the building right by the back door. I approach the bike and the rider, give the rider a compliment as I'm eying over his bike trying to figure out the model. He introduces himself, asks us where we're from and then proceeds to ask me if I can tell what his bike is. It looked like a cross between a Dyna and Fat Boy with a shovel head in it. Once I gave up he told what it was.
The guy then asked us what brought us in, we tell him we came to get a t-shirt and just check out the dealership as we were passing through. We shot the breeze with this gentlemen until he was about 5 minutes late opening the doors.
Long story short once inside everyone bent over backwards to ensure that every customer was taken care of in the best possible manner. No one was in a rush to move on if you needed help. Just great, great people and if you stop in make sure you take the time to introduce yourself to Bob Parker (the sales manager, maybe even the GM). The two ladies in the apparel dept were great. They made an impression on me that I won't forget.
