Default Where's My Country?

I want an America I can once again be proud of. I'm talking the people from from the inside out, not politics or policy, that's another day (please). We need to quit looking and expecting Uncle Sam to fix everything for us and look at ourselves first, examine our own actions.
Where is the work ethic this country was built on, where is the pride in ones work regardless of position and pay as it once was, where has the respect for employers, fellow workers and customers gone, how did this country end up so damn ignorant of simple economic judgment, what happened to the willingness to sacrifice for ones self and families interests and where in the hell did all these entitlement issues come from? Envy, jealousy, greed, self advancement at all costs, laziness, ignorance, lack of education and lack of skills now dominate our population. Why? Seems each generation falls farther into this mindset.
No doubt the political machine that is now this country has not only aided and abetted all these issues but indirectly created them.
We will never have our country back as it was until we ourselves change and it will never happen without unity. We have to right this ship one person at a time.

Make no mistake, this country is home and I would die defending it, however it ain't what it was.

I am proud to see that flag fly for our fallen, our poeple, and our beautiful land but NOT for our government, politicians, and corrupt.

Make no mistake about I'm American true blue. I feel though that unless the voters don't turn out in the mid-term elections and right this ship there will not be an election in 2012! That's harsh but, just look at the writing on the wall. The ultra-liberal facist have the majority in both houses and are gaining ground, they have taken over 2/3 of the automotive industry and are on a fast track to taking over the medical industry as we know it. If that don't spell gov't sanctioned murder just ask the pr-WWII folks from Europe/Russia most all that have given interviews say just that. Folks this is a very perilous time for America and these ultra-liberals are moving fast because if the true blue folks wake up in time their days are numbered. The media both print and TV have us brain-washed into thinking the country is about to flounder out of existence and the president is out visiting everybody with his hat in his hand. We have no dignity with this guy in charge, he'd rather take his wife on a very public date and cost the taxpayers millions of dollars than just go right down the street. I hope I'm wrong, very wrong the writing is on the wall for a great fall of America as we know her today much less 50 years ago when I was a lad.

Sometimes, I have to try not to think about it. It just makes me too mad sometimes. I've got a buddy that once said he had more in common with terrorists than he did with the American liberal as the terrorists believe in truth, have a value system, and have faith in something beyond themselves. Shudder to think.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Here is a comment that I read on the tech web site C-net. It was posted by a person on the comment section of an article about the digital transition of TV. I think this is descriptive of why we are failing as a country. It comes back to the liberal dumbing down of America. This is why we wound up with a person in the white house that has no understanding of economics, terrorisim, or any of the problems we face as a nation. This is representitive of the voters we have making decisions that effect the country and our lives. Read this comment and if you are like me you will shake your head in disbelief.

I agree with you. But check this out...
I just made a random joke about being "digital ready" at a party we were at a week or so ago.
A younger female, 25ish actually said, "what's digital ready mean" lol...I thought she was kidding. Turns out after some conversations that she hasn't actually watched any sort of news cast in more than two years.
She's an MTV only person.
I realize most of the time the news is a downer but my gosh, how is this even possible? She reads no news papers, watches no news other than what MTV squirts out it's nasty regions, it's scary to think of this. I pray that she isn't any representation of 25ish people in our world now.

I think DTV is but the tip of the iceberg as far as humanity's problems go. "

Sorry to say she is probably the prime example of todays youth movement! How in the world do you think Barry got elected, no correct information! The leftist media has the voting blocks down pat and it will take a major upheaval to fix it, I just hope it can and will be fixed.

I agree. The problem is we let the left take over education, entertainment, the news organizations and all methods of passing needed information to the masses. They control almost all methods of passing information to the sheeple and this is why they are succeeding and we are failing. We don't fight back because we don't want to look like the bad guys. I'm sure that in 1776 the colonials didn't want to look like the bad guys either, but they stood up to England and said they weren't going to take it anymore. Our founding fathers would be so dissapointed in what we have let happen to our country. The education system in America has been one of brainwashing and indoctrination and we just let it happen. When they pushed the gay agenda on us we let it happen with only a little fight. When they pushed liberalisim on our kids as good we didn't take any action to counter this and force schools to teach the kids what they are there for reading, writing, and math. We now have two generations that were tought that conservitives are evil and ignorant and the kids believe it. They get fed by MTV, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, and almost every movie coming out of Hollywierd. The nazi party didn't control infomation and propaganda as well as the liberals/communists/socialists have.

My grandfather used to say "America will not be lost in a war against the enemy, but will fall from within by an enemy who will take control of the people and how they think". Damn if he wasn't right.

I'm begging to think the only way to get back to the USA I grew up with is by force. Thomas Jefferson said that the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of tirants and patriots. Maybe that time has come. I would rather die a free man than live in servitude.
