I am feeling humbled today. Putting on this uniform on this day reminds me that I am standing in the shadow of giants... folks that have sacrificed far more than I in defense of liberty. Some of those folks are on this forum...
So thank you. Thank you for my unfettered right to speak my mind. Thank you for my right to pray to the Lord my God. Thank you for my right to complain. Thank you for my right to protect me and mine. Thank you for my right to worship how, when, and where I choose.
Thank you for your commitment and sacrifice to something greater than yourself so that I and my loved ones can live free.
Thank you, veterans... and may God bless you.

John 1:14
It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD. ----Abraham Lincoln
This great land of America was established as a Christian nation and richly blessed. It is needful that her people repent and return to those principles.
This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me![IMG][/IMG]
Thanks for the kind words, all. I haven't been around the forum much since my move to SoCal. Trying to ramp up for deployment meant a lot more actual work at the office.
UFB, to answer your question... nine more weeks before I'm back stateside. But who's counting?
