We has probably all of us here seen Easy rider and that scene where nicholson and Hopper are speaking about freedom around that campfire. How right they are there.

Free people, we? hell no.

maybe more free than those poor bastards in North korea and in Burma, and of course China. Not mentioned about Iran.

But as they say in that scene, they talk and talk about freedom, but when they see a real free man, they are afraid, and they are dangerous.

Just look what happens, the free speech is almost a history now, Our internet, phonecalls, are monitored, in USA by NSA, here by FRA (our comparison to NSA), echelon in EEC, and so on.

Freedom is a very loaded word these days, when Usamabama and company talks about protecting our freedom, by which means? controlling us?

We have our reichfuehrer Reinfeldt here, probably ten times worser than Usamabama, they talk all about freedom.
Freedom to choice caretaking
Freedom to choose lifestyle
Freedom to choose this and that.

What happens here is that our frickin government are selling out this this lands resources to foreign owners. as they sold out Vin&sprit to Pernod, one of this country's most winniest companies. Volvo and Saab is very close to handed over to Chinese owners, and so on. Then our reichfuehrer and his henchmen are ready, this country is an banana republic.

Where's the pride to buy Swedish stuff? I know it's pride to buy Made in USA stuff in USA, even Finland is better than we on that point.

Freedom can be defined at many ways. Free to choose what ever ride you want, free to choose whom you want to vote on, free to tell some in the government is a prick, and so on. But beware, our freedom is chewed on every minute, every second in it's edges, and been smaller and smaller as time goes on.

it's many who's there taking a bite, EPA, severala other authorities, we have those here too but with other names, so, Watch your back so they don't bite in YOUR own a$$!

It's stuff out there we need to get laws against, as drugdealers, criminals, and so on, I don't say anything about that, neither of all our right to get a proper health care, talked to to guy in China who's got Lekemia, he has to it all by himself, no health insurances will help him with it. A society needs overlooking laws, but our free rights set by the law needs to be protected from tampering of greedy authorities, It's a big subject, but needs to thought at before it's too late, before all our freedom is sold to the market, and lost forever.

We are as free as the Lion at the zoo. Just as long as we stay in our cages and promise not to nip the keepers and eat all our food and pee in the litter box . Yes we in the United states have it way better than most countries.

That I am thankful for! However not as free as I would like it.

I wonder how many rules early man had as they walked around looking for food and Shelter. Did they need a passport to enter another place other than where they grew up. Did they get fined when their spears made too loud a noise when flung at a Dinosaur. Were there kids only allowed to play with certain rocks as to not hurt themselves? I would like to think they roamed free and did what they liked as long as it did not harm others. Not true.

Us humans can be a-holes. Greedy and jealous.

If you hunted on the wrong land I suppose that meant war even though there was plenty to go around.

One fine line between freedom and order. You need a bit of both to survive.

Humanity is destroying itself. So what do we do?

Your story is much like our story..

Here in the USA we lose more freedoms every year mostly to Social type stuff..
In much of the USA you cannot even have or use a fire place or wood burning stove cuz of bogus pollution..
The Gov trys to prevent us from modifing our vehicles cuz of bogus pollution..

The Gov knows that these measures do not amount to a hill of beans but it is the Govs way of controlling us a wee more each year..

The Gov wants to force us all on Gov-socialist Healthcare,,, not really for our well-being but instead to put the heal down on us a wee more..

I yearn for the days gone by where you got your Own Health ins. or you got No health care except "charity" type of Healthcare..

If folk want to buy fancy wheels, big-screen tv's, vacations, and gold-bling etc etc. INSTEAD of buying Health Ins. then fine, but,,,, WE should Not be forced to pay for those folk Ins..

Every year the Gov tries to destroy our 2nd amendment,, they whittle away and we lose a wee more freedom..

We recently lost property rights from the Supreme Court decision a few years ago over Eminent Domain.. The 5 Liberal justices on the court decided against US..

The current administration wants more of our Financial Freedom Via Taxing..

In many places in Amer they attempt to deprive parents of the Right to be Informed about what is being taught to their children and about Liberal propaganda in schools..

Etc etc etc etc etc etc....... it will not stop until "They" put the thumb down on US and turn this country into a socialist/communist state..

That's why I've always said-- I would rather go slowly into Socialism with the Republicans than fall swiftly into Totalitarian ruled Communism with the Democrats..
