Default Crocker Motorcycle Article in AIM

So what do you guys think of articles on less popular but interesting motorcycles like the Crocker in the new issue of American Iron Magazine?

Is this something we should do very few issues or am I in a minority here?

I think it's a good idea to keep the memory alive. I do not have the time or patience to own one, but love to see and hear and read about them. So as long as you have room, heck yes.

That was the bike that caught my eye first flipping thru the pages. Of course Stefy on her V Rod wasn't bad either. I like reading about other bikes.

How about a Vincent Black Shadow [gas] or a Black Lightning [alcohol]?

From what little I hear the Crocker is sort of the Holy Grail of American motorcycling. Not many made, high quality and real fast!

I'd like to read more about them and the guy behind the company in my favorite Harley magazine.

There is a shop in Ventura Ca called of all things "The Shop". The owner Dave Hansen is big on old motorcycle marquees such as Indian, Excelsior and anything else he can find and bring back. In June of each year The Shop puts on an antique bike show and races at the local fairgrounds. I have seen all kind of bikes there including a Flying Merkel. The first year I saw the bike at the show the owner had it running but not restored, the next year it was running and restored. It's great to see the old marquees surviving and restored. It seems that during the last few years the show has gotten smaller which is a shame because if you liked old bikes or a bike show at all it was the place to be. There were classes for any make of bike any year including Hondas. It was a great way to spend the day if you're into bikes.
