The first soft drink, (Vernor's Ginger Ale) was introduced by a Detroit Pharmacist, James A Vernor, in 1866. Note: There were several 'elixirs' on the market at that time, including what would later be called Coca Cola. These contained alcohol, whereas Vernor's didn't. Thus the name 'soft' drink
LOL, true.
Coca Cola also had cocaine in it back then...or at least coca extract...which might have helped insure it's popularity...it probably didn't hurt any...

With all the Harley clones out there sometimes you can't really tell what is coming down the road, but those beautiful skirted fenders on the Indian always stand out and it's unmistakable what it is.
I still hope to be able to get an Indian before my time is up. I think the Indian Chief like the Knucklehead motor is a piece of artwork.
Have you ever looked at the Kiwi/Indian replica motorcycles?
My oldest brother had a 48' chief when he returned from the military back in 71'.
I sincerely hope Indian makes it this time.
Dr. Mark...thank you for your knowledge and willingness to share that knowledge with us. Your passion for Indian is very evident.
Thanks again. I enjoyed you love for Indian.
