Default Used Victory For Sportster Money

Never got into Victorys, but here's one for sale on ebay cheaper than a Sportster.

2000 V92C Sport model whatever that means. They want $3995 or offer.

eBay Motors: Victory (item 230314221204 end time Jan-03-09 13:49:45 PST)

Sorry but I still think its an ugly bike. Looks like a snowblower engine stuffed in a Yamaha chassis.

No wnder it is so cheap.

I don't know every detail, but I think it means short sporty fenders, 2 into 1 exhaust, blacked out engine(headlight bucket, fork tubes etc.), pegs instead of running boards. Some claim it to be one of the better handling Vics, but I'm not sure what it supposed to make it better.

I really don't care for the blacked out engines and I don't like the graphix he put on that bike. Truthfully I like the tail draggers with a lot of shinny parts better. All told that would be an awesome bike and not a bad price at all, but.....

The ad doesn't mention a tranny upgrade. The '99s and '00s had tranny failures. Put a tranny upgrade in it and I would vouch for it being one of helluva awesome ride with tons of potential. Unfortunately the upgrades aren't cheap. Some original trannys have gone a ton of miles, others not far at all. It seems to depend on how hard they were ridden.

And the ad lists it as a 1520cc, but the V92s are 1507. Not sure what that means, but I'd ask about that and the tranny.

Hi Yall

After readin' the comments on the Victory, I realize when I lookd at that pic, I didnt really know if it was a Victory, Kawasaki, Suzuki, or a Honda, heck, it could be a Yamaha. Then ya gotta rememeber, this is a forum made up of real life good ole bikers that ride american iron. Yes Victory is made in america, but it sure does resemble the metrics out there. You'd think with thier design team they could come up with something that stands out a bit more. Maybe that bike will get an owner that cuts it into a real work of art.

I wouldn't mind having a newer model Victory, but not that one I don't like the style of that thing!

First thing I should done if buy, I should strip it to the bare bone and rebuild it so it looks like at real bike, not a clone on a frickin nip bike.
