Well, my Indian Chief Vintage was delivered 10-6-09 and I echo Dr. Marks comments. I also spoke to my selling dealer about the reserve gas capacity. They intentionally ran a Chief out of gas and they went 72 miles on reserve before it quit. They refilled the tank and somehow got 6.2 gallons back in the 5.5 gallon fuel tank.
