I hear ya Mike. Lot to be said for loyalty, for sure.
Me, I went the other way. Saw my first Indian back in about 1975, and sold my last Harley in 1976. Tempted by a few HD's, but still got my Indians.
Got an uncle who is/was an Indian guy to the bone. He's got a load of stories from back in the day, when you were either an Indian guy or a Harley guy. Nothin' else. Boy howdy, things have changed.
Anyhow, I'm loving my new Indian, and riding the snot out of it.
From what I hear from the guys at the factory, sales are actually picking up pretty good, in spite of the crappy economy. Of course, I guess it's not
impossible, when you only got to sell
800 or so bikes. That's all they are making a year now.
BTW: your granddaughter is a cutie pie. I got a nephew a little older than her that has Ewing's Sarcoma. Sure puts your life in perspective when you see how kids cope with that kind of stuff, you know.
Take care.
