Default Dirico Motorcycles

The February 2010 issue of American Iron Magazine has a review of the Dirico Speedster and Pro Street written by both Chris and myself.

Not the Feb issue goes on sale on newsstands on Tuesday December 29, 2009

I liked the retro look of two of them. The Speedster didn't do much for me. The price is up there on them and that keeps them out of my budget too, but I sure like looking at the article in AIM. It is nice that they are another brand built right in the USA. even if it is mostly bolt on stuff. The orange one caught my eye for sure.

OOPS, something didn't seem right, so I took another gander at the magazine and I discovered that yes, it is the Speedster I really like the look of, it was the Pro Street I didn't care that much for. I guess I like cruisers more, even though I ride a Dyna since getting rid of my Heritage and have Road King on my mind. So I edited.

Anyone know the cost of these bikes? It's curious that they are available at some HD dealers.

The prices are in the article, way too costly for me. Some H-D dealers choose to become dealers for these other brands as well, my local dealer was selling Thunder Mountain cycles foa while- kind of a similar deal, running gear is regular Twin Cam Harley.

40K? I don't think so. Boring, ugly, and just nothing interesting about either bikes to warrant that kind of cheese.

Exactly!! But you have to admit that the orange primary covers are a nice touch

Recently, I have started admiring the classic's. So, I kinda like the looks of that Speedster. Not too sure about the painted primary tho.
One thing I dont like, and have never liked is the external fender struts.
I guess thats why I am building my Shovel with hidden struts.

I am wondering if there would be anyone here willing to pay the outrageous prices for these blatantly copied Springer Softail or Deuce look alike bikes? Where is the originality?

What, you don't think having Steven Tyler's signature scrawled on your fender is worth an extra $22,000?

I picture Tyler lying awake at night wondering if flat Dirico sales are because of the recession or because of his swan dive in Sturgis.

But honestly, how many wealthy motorcycling Aerosmith devotees with poor shopping skills can there be?
