No, but I'd sure like to try one and my wife has says when she gets a bike that's the brand she's getting. She likes the classic styling and after dealing with my clutch with her small hands she's more than happy for a clutchless ride.

I had a chance to ride one a few years back. It was Okay. They lack speed when passing when you are going over 60. The gal that let me ride it told me the bikes are high maintenance. Spendy to keep up on. I dunno about the new ones.

They have their own looks and sound. Dont think I would buy one.

I think they've made some nice advances on the Ridleys tge last few years. I was listening to someone talk about theirs and the new models have a MUCH better pick-up than the the older models, which where fine when moving, but from a dead start reminded him of riding a turtle on benadryl.

Default Ridley

Just sold my 2003 Ridley and upgraded to '06 model....HUGE difference!! The
'03 was the first year model and the improvements they have made since then are wonderful. The tranny has been upgraded, along with the speedo, final belt drive, LED lights, 3 degree triple trees, 37 degree rake, and much more. The handling and performance has been remarkably improved. Just like anything else, it has been a learning experience for the Ridley company, and they are doing a great job. As far as maintenance they are not much different than any other bike, they are quite easy to work on and fun to ride.

I figure if some Hell's Angels really liked them (saw a story about Ridleys on "Ride On" or one of the Speed Channel bike shows) that's a pretty good testament to them.

Whole lot cooler than a rebel, that's for sure... and they (the rebel) re-sell like crazy. I'm sure it didn't take long for Mary to sell her used Ridley.

I saw them at Sturgis for the 1st time. I was talking to our nieghbor at Glencoe about them as they were looking for a bike for the wife. I told them there was a real cute white pearl one with pink flames at their booth. Well the next day, there it was sitting in their camp site. The guy bought it for his wife and she was over joyed! They paid $18500 for the bike which I thought was a bit much but I guess they're paying for the technology.
Probably the best thing we saw at Sturgis was the V-8 powered bar stool made by Boss Hoss. Has anyone seen them yet? One of the guys I was with was really thinking about buying one, but @ $13500 he knew his old lady would kill him if he brought one home!

My wife has a 2007 Ridley Auto Glide Classic. She loves it. Looks and runs great. Fun to ride. The Ridley is a little pricey, but seems to be a high quality bike. Clay Ridley owns the company and is very willing to talk to his customers. Before we bought there were some questions the dealer could not answer. Called the factory and was put right thru to Clay. Met Clay at Sturgis this year. Spent a good deal of time talking about the bike and his company. He seems very comitted to his product and development of new models. On the way back home we stopped in OK City and toured his plant. Very impressed. He is constantly making improvements and the current CVT drive system is much better than previous models. Performance is more than adequate, about the same as an 883 Sportster. The paint is flawless. Always get comments and questions about the bike.

Harley Davidson and Ridley are currently engaged in a lawsuit that apparently centers around the use of the word "Glide" in the name of Ridley models. I believe the lawsuit went to trial last week in Milwaukee. Since Ridley is a small privately owned company the financial press has had no interest in this story. Hope you will report on the ruling which should come soon.

JK
