I think I may have to re winterize pretty soon. And wouldnt you know it the one rain cloud that was out a week ago I had to ride through.

Well the weather genie is saying 70's by next weekend I think I'll trust the magic 8 ball more.

Yeah this winter has been long. I ride year round but not when the wet salt is on the rode. These last few weeks of snow been drying up pretty quick. Been riding every week since March.

hdnt1550: My wife and I should be doing the Flood Run again this year. We have been doing it the last four years or so Spring and Fall. Route got a little boring. But last year they opened the run up to both sides of the river due to the crowds. If you do Minnesota side be careful in Red Wing. The cops had no patience last year and were handing out tickets. Good deal with the dough going to the Childrens Hospital. The frost your Nuts run was cancelled this past weekend due to Snow and Ice.

If I make it maybe I will run across you or by you.

Where does the flood run start and end? Anything else going on with it?

48panshovel:

Depends on where you live. I ride down to Prescott Wisconsin thats where most us Northeners Start. Southern folks start in Winona Minnesota or Lacrosse Wisconsin. I will attach the FloodRun site that has all the info and maps. Ride up one side the Mississippi and down the other. Some of the Harley Dealerships Have Coffee and Donuts at 07:00 to 9:00 kinda a meeting place before you head off to the run. I have always bypassed the dealerships. I usally put on over 300 miles that day.

http://www.floodrun.org/ Can be kinda crowded. Usally meet up with folks I havnt seen in a while.

I will usually start in Prescott around 9:30-10:00AM and I don't stop much. I don't feel the need to stop for a cold one every 2 miles like some people do and like to get the route done before people get tuned up.
I've been pulled over in Red Wing once and ended up with a warning. Just have to be careful coming and going in and out of town.

If you see, I mean hear, a heavily cammed Nighttrain it could be me and just say tag your it.

I dont stop at all place either. If you did that you might as well walk. Anyway I should be in prescott around 10:30. I will be on the best 04 sporty black with White Wall tires. Some older pictures on this site of it.

Ya beter tag me at about I dunno 150mph or I will catch you... Once I get my feet on the ground and start kicking I can really move
