Default Wide tire wheel question.

I'm buying a 250 wide tire soft tail frame with a 1" axel, I need to buy a wheel with 1" bearings. My question is will the belt pulley on my 99 lowrider wheel work on a the new wide wheel? Does anybody know about this? Thank in advance.

Hey bud

The Index (ID of center hole) on your present pulley is approx. 1.970" but the Index on the New 1" axel/bearing wheel is approx. 2.015"..

I know a guy that has Dremeled out the Index on 3/4" pulleys to fit a 1" wheel but I have not done that.. You know, might as well get a new correct size pulley for the new wide wheel cuz then you can leave the older wheel totally intact and rideble on your 99 LR..

There are adapters available to go from 3/4" to 1" pulleys/sprockets and vice-versa but I have not used one yet..

The pulley will work but the real issue here is your hub. What kind of wheel are you getting? You may have to use longer bolts and a spacer to bring your pulley out far enough to clear the tire, if the wheel doesn't come with the offset built in. The rest is rear pulley to transmission pulley alignment.
