Default Post Your Home Made Harley Custom Here

OK, the idea of the Shop Dope section is to share the low buck, high fun bikes that creative motorcycle riders are building if you have more talent and passion than money to spend on your ride.

So share your photos of backyard built Harleys here. They can be your own bikes, a friends bike or just one you think looks cool enough to share here.

But let us know what you can about the bike.

I'll start with this crazy homebrewed Indian Chief I saw in Florida last year.

I'm guessing it's an early Indian leaf spring front end but perhaps a Japanese front hub and brakes. Rough and funky, but I liked it.

Here's a low-budget build from '05. After crashing, my buddy "Bill" brought the bike over and we tore it down to the frame and he took the 95" "EVO" motor away to have a friend build it. The motor is still an EVO but has the knuckle rocker covers (by Exotic) on it as well as a generator side cover modified to fit the EVO. so it looks like a knuckle but it aint.... It has a Santee rigid frame 4" up, 35* rake and a Paucho front end (I think). No front brake! We went on a 2000 mile road trip, I was on my BMC. I learned a lot about road side fixin' on that trip! every 70 mile gas stop was a 2 hour adventure in meeting people and trying to get the bike running again. on the last couple hundred miles... we had all the bugs worked out and it was runnin great.
The rear cylinder exhaust goes out the left side and thru the open primay belt! and matches the curves on this side.
