Air Fuel Ratio

I have a question about using a product that changes the AFR by installing an inline enrichment device, from night rider performance products.
It's a wire with some sort of resistor built into the wire that plugs in between the O2 sensor and stock connector. They have an 13.8 AFR and a 14.0 AFR for the 08 harley.
My questionis, do they work, will they help reduce heat and improve performance??

Thank RCS

Hi RCS, I was looking at those same things you are and the price is right, almost worth giving it a shot. I think they change the AFR only in closed loop mode, which means when a rider is at a constant speed at certain throttle positions. Seeing as they do run richer, it should help heatwise, shouldn't it?

Default Thanks tommyglide

Thanks for the info, I have decided to try this inline AFR controller along with Vance & Hines fuel pack. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm no EFI guy,but...since I do know that SOME things just are'nt compatible with OTHER things...I'd suggest at least getting an opinion from V&H and/or whoever makes this gadget before you just go ahead and experiment with them together....

Yeah, EKE, I agree, you don't want to mix and match medicines without your doctor's advice.

Good advice for sure, I think the proponents of the ied are suggesting it will work well with the V&H Fuelpak, I'm guessing ied for closed loop and fuelpak to help with open loop enrichening. Make sense?
