| | AIM Screening Reviews in Favor of Advertisers? I've been checking for reviews for a while and have been wondering why there aren't more...
Please tell me it's not because you are screening out negative reviews about products from your advertisers.... I submitted a review about Dakota Digital and see that it has to be "approved".
If this is the case, I will cancel my membership and do my best to publisize this issue in the HD forums on the net.

Admin can you explain this one?
We do not edit posts unless they are offensive or over the top. |

| | Buzz, when I submitted the Dakota Digital post, I got a message saying it had to reviewed by the moderator before it was submitted. Thanks, for the quick reply, again, I'm a loyal fan of the best mag in the business. |

I have found AIM to be the real deal in their reviews and dealings with us readers.
The fact that they even offer this section for readers to review and share experiences with products says a lot.
I'm wondering why so few people actually use it to share the good, the bad and the funky here? |

Dunno what happened to your post, but I've posted some stuff on here negative toward the magazine (in hopes that same would be viewed as constructive criticism) and never had it edited or deleted or have to be approved. Insofar as sponsors go, so far, haven't had a negative experience w/ any of them....just lucky, I guess.... |

| | I don't know what the fuss is all about. We have a total newbie to bulletin boards who made a post, and it had to be moderated because it probably contained some links and language that got the message flagged by our automated SPAM filter system. We have this filter set on our system because we want to avoid some SPAMmer sending out a link list to our members. GunnerT's thread was quickly approved and is number five on the "Reader's Review" list. This is the way ALL conscientious bulletin boards operate because they don't SPAMmers to run rampant on their websites. We are not as Faschistic as the more hot-headed users of our site assume we are. End of discussion. |

Duane Thornton dthornton@braemarnet.com | And since this was not the case did you buy a dozen subscriptions for your friends and family and publicize this forum on the HD forums on the net? |

| | Doesn't sound like something the AI team would do.
I've seen the good, bad and ugly here and in print.

| | The admins do a fine job of monitoring posts for inappropriate content, of which negative product reviews are not on the list. Understand that they are plenty of cowardly troublemakers on-line, just looking to cause problems. That said, a new poster doesn't score any quality points by coming on a reputable forum and leveling this type of threat: If this is the case, I will cancel my membership and do my best to publisize this issue in the HD forums on the net.
If you're not familiar with posting procedures, then make an inquiry about posting/membership parameters BEFORE you enter a post. If you disagree with something the admins have done, then make another inquiry sans threats/drama, and see if you receive a satisfactory response. If you still aren't satisfied, most of AIM's editorial staff are here on a regular basis, including the big boss himself, Buzz, so you can contact any of us directly. | | |
