Thumbs up Bugslide

We've all heard the phrase: Don't knock it until you rock it.

Well as many of you read I rode from the Gulf Coast to North West Arkansas last Friday the 10th of Oct. I don't have a windshield, so it was the bugs and I on collision course from hell. They tried to overwhelm me with power in numbers, but this time my speed and size endured their test of the time. Needless to say my leathers and blue jeans were covered in bugs.

So one day this week I took a trip to the local dealer to see what they had to clean my jacket. They handed me a little baggy with a bottle of "stuff" in it and a microfiber towel. The lady behind the counter said it should clean damn near anything I want it to and it is safe for leather. I doubted it and her, but said what the hell I'll give it a go, because at $9.95 + tax it was about the cheapest stuff for this type of task I had at hand. I was wrong and she was right. It cleaned my leathers right up and didn't harm the material at all. I didn't even have to scrub, just spray and wipe. Some of the bigger ones I had to spray twice and let it soak for a second, but it did the trick.

As the bottle says: Don't ride without the slide!

Now I can't wait to get my bike back down here so I can the bugs that are cooked on my pipes off. I'll definitely rock this product until I find something better.

I think almost all dealers have this product in their stores. All the ones I've been to have had it, but if not and you want to give it a go here is their web address:

BUGSLIDE, DIAMOND FINISH AND JACKIEBLUE WEAR BIKER CLOTHES : Home

DISCLAIMER: I am not; in any way associated with the company or the product. This is based off of my personal use and experience.

Shane, you are so right about that stuff.

I've been praising the heck out of this stuff since I bought my bike, and a bottle of it came along with it. At the dealership, they had a demonstration of it, and I bet that they sold at least a hundred bottles of it because of it. The parts manager says , and I believe her, that she can clean her Road King in less than 15 minutes with it.

All in all, good stuff!

Hey hogman ... Yes Bug Slide is the name of the product. It comes in a green bottle, and I believe that you also get a micro-fiber cloth with iy also.

Stuff works great. Slick as snot on a doorknob.

It comes in a white bottle with a green microfiber towel. Just look for a clear bag with a bright green towel in it you can't miss it.

un , You're right, white bottle, green cloth. I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. Feel bad about giving hogman wrong information.

Thanks for setting me straight, brother.

Chip- No worries, man. That's what we're here for...all of us.

EZE- No problem. I only write reviews if I'm thoroughly impressed or thoroughly un-impressed. Needless to say I was really impressed with this stuff. I used it the other day on the front of my truck after two weeks of not washing it. It was covered in bugs and some were "cooked" on. It took a little more elbow grease on those, but they came off.

Hey guys
I don't know that I'd use WD-40 on leather...but it works great on getting bugs as well as road tar/crud off stuff

I'm pretty sure it comes in a mostly blue can...but wait.............................................. ..............................
"Yep",I just went out to the garage to double check and it's mostly blue alright
