Question Baker Transmission

I'm about to bite the bullet and install a Baker 6 speed trans in my 05 Road Glide. Anyone out there with knowledge of this install? I do most of my own wrenching and have replaced the trans pulley on my softail, as well as the trap door bearings, so I have the tools to get them off, as well as the primary and clutch. Looks like if I put it in the harley case I won't have to realign anything. I'm looking at the DD6, any suggestions?

I do know is that the primary gearing and final gearing need to be correct for the DD-6 to work the way it was intended. You may know this, but the OD-6 6th is over-drive...the DD-6 is direct drive in 6th. So to acieve the OD effect in 6th, the primary and final gearing need to be right. I can find out what that gearing is, if you haven't already found it in your research.

as far as fiting it in your bike... I have not tried that combo, so I will let someone else answer anything to do with that.

Thanks for the info, I looked at the OD6 and didn't know if that was the way to go. Before I order I will talk to Baker, with what you've said it looks like the OD6 might be the right way to go. Thanks again I'll keep you posted on my progress.
