Revived Hellcat: Revival Cycles The Revival 140

The masterful fabrication skills of the team at Revival Cycles is well known. The latest demonstration of their talent can be seen on a Confederate Hellcat they call The Revival 140.

The story goes a friend brought in the banged up Hellcat and asked Revival to put their spin on it. The result is an exercise in exquisite hand formed alloy, from the tank to the tail, to asymmetric side panels to the belly pan and beaked headlight housing. Revival switched up the ergonomics to a more neutral, upright riding position. And the sound emanating from the new stainless exhaust. What a symphony!

The Revival 140

Revival Cycles revived a busted up Confederate Hellcat by turning it into a fire-breathing custom with plenty of hand formed alloy bodywork called The Revival 140. (Revival Cycles Photo)

In Revival’s build story on the bike, they said “this was by far the most challenging design-wise. Not necessarily from a technical standpoint, as the original chassis and most of the electrics would remain, but from a purely aesthetic point of view.” The Hellcat was “dubbed “The Revival 140” as any motorcycle that weighs less than 500 pounds and has 140 foot pounds of torque DESERVES to be known by that name.” It’s also a literal revival of a busted bike into a two-wheeled phoenix.

Be sure to check out Revival Cycles website for the complete build story, an awesome image gallery that chronicles its metamorphosis, and a video so you can hear its intoxicating exhaust note.
