2012 Honorary Contributor Motorcycle Contest

On the heels of the successful Honorary Contributor Contest in 2011, we have decided to once again team up with Las Vegas BikeFest and Victory Motorcycles to offer one of our lucky readers the opportunity to see what it’s like to cover an event for a major motorcycle magazine.

Just like last year, the winner will join us in Ontario, California, where he will pick up a 2013 Victory motorcycle to use for the duration of this assignment. From there we will hit the road to Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in Primm Valley, Nevada, for a kickoff party and a night filled with entertainment, food, and drinks. On Thursday, our group will take a scenic route to downtown Las Vegas. Upon arriving in town, we will settle in at an official Las Vegas BikeFest hotel and prepare to cover the 12th annual Las Vegas BikeFest, scheduled for September 27-30.

The lucky reader will be treated just as if he were an American Iron Magazine staff member. In return for this status, the honorary contributor will live up to his title by writing a short story of the ride and event. The end result will be published in the pages of AIM as our annual Las Vegas BikeFest event coverage.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to cover this event for us, send in a short essay (300 words) telling us why. All submissions need to be e-mailed to [email protected] no later than June 26. Be sure to include your contact info so we can give the winner a heads up before he is announced in the October issue of AIM. Please note that riding experience and a valid motorcycle license will be required to win the Honorary Contributor Contest. Now for the legal stuff: American Iron Magazine and other sponsors are not responsible for misdirected entries or injuries that may occur. The winner will be required to sign liability waivers. Odds of being selected depend on the number of entries. American Iron Magazine is solely responsible for selecting the honorary contributor and all decisions are final.
