The Official Motorcycle of Bike Week 2018 is starting out as a stock 2010 Harley Dyna Super Glide before Chaos Cycle transforms it into a rip-snortin’ street tracker.

Overseeing the customization of the Official Motorcycle of Bike Week 2018 is a task American Iron takes great pride in. We’re over-the-top excited the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has asked us once again to be a part of the storied project as it steams toward the 24th annual drawing during Bike Week 2018. Money raised by the drawing is used by the Bike Week Festival Task Force which works year-round strategizing ways to make the rally better and implementing those ideas. The build not only benefits Bike Week, but one lucky person is going to ride off into the Florida sunset on an incredible one-off custom motorcycle.

This year we’ve sourced a 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide as the starting point for the Official Motorcycle of Bike Week 2018. Seeing how Harley discontinued the Dyna line this year makes this bike even more special. It won’t be stock for long though as George Stinsman gets ready to unleash a little chaos on the build. Chaos Cycle, that is, the name of Stinsman’s shop out of Mastic, New York, which is ready to put the “New York Hardcore” treatment to it by transforming the stock Super Glide into one mean street tracker.

“We’re going with a flat tracker tail on it, a little fairing on the front, flat tracker-style handlebars. We’re upgrading the suspension, putting Showa’s on the front with radial calipers and all sorts of goodies,” said Stinsman.

We’ll be covering the entire build, from teardown to final assembly, in the pages of American Iron Magazine. The first segment will run in Issue #357, set to hit newsstands any day now. We’ve got a slew of go-fast goodies for the project from a long list of generous sponsors who we will be featuring in a weekly series here on the website. Though we don’t want to tip our hand completely, here’s a peek at a handful of the companies who have stepped up to the plate to whet your appetite – Ridewright, Magnaflow, Vance & Hines, Memphis Shades, Saddlemen, RacingBros, EBC, Twin Power and many more.

Tickets to win this wicked Super Glide street tracker are available online at officialbikeweek.com. A maximum of 4,500 tickets will be sold. Give you a little tip though. If all 4,500 tickets don’t sell the drawing gets held anyways, increasing the odds of winning even more. Tickets are $50 each, but if you buy two you get an extra entry for free. The drawing will be held at approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Riverfront Park on Beach Street in Daytona Beach. The giveaway bike will also be on display at Beach Street during the rally if you’d like to check it out in person. Guaranteed, this Super Glide’s going to be a real ripper thanks to the Chaos Cycle touch, so roll the dice, buy a ticket or two, and hope lady luck is on your side.
