Buzz Kanter Wins Race on Selma, His 1915 Harley Motorcycle

American Iron Magazine Editor-in-Chief Buzz Kanter entered Selma, his 1915 Harley from last year’s Motorcycle Cannonball in the Morgantown, WV Vintage Grand Prix motorcycle races this past Sunday and won the class.

Motorcycle Cannonballers Jim Petty (on the 1915 Indian) and Buzz Kanter (on the 1915 Harley) prior to the race.

After rebuilding this 1915 Harley at Wheels Through Time a few days earlier, this was Buzz’s first time to ride Selma in almost a year. It was his first time at Mountainfest where the race was held. Racing on a roughly 1/2 mile course through the closed roads of downtown Morgantown, WV Buzz managed to stay in front of one 1915 Indian motorcycle, and chase down another 1915 Indian in the last of five laps to take the win.  This class was open to pre-1916 motorcycles.
