“Changing from belt to chain drive is a must for high load, high horsepower and racing applications,” stated Twin Power’s Brand Manager James Simonelli.

Now we don’t want anyone to take the Chaos Cycle street tracker racing per se, but we’re hoping you at least load it up and romp on the clutch a time or two. Because boosting performance has been a top priority on the 2010 Harley Dyna Super Glide since Chaos got its hands on the Official Motorcycle of Bike Week 2018. Converting from belt to chain drive is a common switch amongst the rowdiest Dyna riders out there, so we heeded Simonelli’s advice and swapped out the old belt drive for a Twin Power High Performance Chain Conversion Kit.

The Twin Power Chain Conversion Kit includes “a 4140-heat-treated steel transmission sprocket, transmission sprocket spacer, fully machined (not stamped) heat-treated steel rear sprocket with a textured black powder-coated finish, dual bolt pattern sprocket spacer (where applicable), and grade 9 hardware (where applicable). Just add your favorite 530 x 120 link rear chain and cut to size.”

George inspects the clutch plates.

The Twin Power conversion is a bolt-on kit making the swap painless as possible. As mentioned, it doesn’t come with a chain. Tip of the hat to BikeMaster for providing a 530 BMZR sealed chain for the project. Seeing how the 530 BMZR is developed for “high-performance sport machines” means it was just the chain for the job.

If you haven’t gotten your ticket to win this bike yet we suggest you do because Daytona Beach Bike Week 2018 is going to be here before you know it. Pop on over to and grab a few because if you buy two you get an extra entry for free. Tickets are $50 and money raised goes back in to the rally, so there’s winners all the way around. The list of parts on this this thing is impressive, not to mention it’s been overhauled by someone the caliber of Chaos Cycle. Sometimes you gotta let the dice roll because somebody’s going to come up Lucky 7’s March 17 when their name is drawn.
